So, I was really ready to talk about my VBAC (Vaginal birth after cesarean), but God has placed something else on my heart to discuss: Mom Feelings. What makes me qualified to discuss mom feelings and a few other topics I will talk about? Well, quite frankly, I’m not sure if I can consider myself qualified however I do have experience in the mom area. My feelings sometimes make me feel isolated, unworthy of being a mother, and at times, like a bad mom.
This has been true for a few years. Sometimes these feelings are so bad, that I am embarrassed to talk about them. But when I confide in friends, I immediately discover that my friends have these feelings as well. So that means, I am NOT alone. There are so many other mommies like me. They feel how I feel: alone and insufficient as a mother. So let me be a friend to you. Through my posts here, you’ll see that you’re not alone in your feelings.
Many moms can relate to me. Think I have it all together? I don’t. I don’t do everything the “right” way (is there such a thing). I’m definitely not an overly gifted individual that just seem to attract special attention. I’m just a regular person, like you, trying to keep my children alive, the house in order (it never is), and my sanity intact. There are so many emotions that I deal with. many of which will embarrass me to discuss in this blog, but I will.
Sometimes I struggle to do even the bare minimum. I don’t always enjoy motherhood and sometimes, let’s keep it real, I don’t want to be a mother. Of course, I love my children and would do anything for them, but like anyone else…I have bad days too. I’ll go into a deeper dive about my emotions in another post; I don’t want this post to be 10 pages long. (However, if you want to see what some of my feelings are, scroll through my blog. So what makes me qualified? Well, not sure qualified is the right word, but I do believe I have something to offer you. You’ll see my shortcomings and raw emotions, successes, tips and tricks as a mother. Not only that, I want to create a safe community of mothers to be able open up and get the encouragement needed to continue their motherhood journey. Being a mom is hard; I get it. Follow my blog for encouragement through the tough times, excitement through the good, and tips that will help keep you sane throughout the day!
