We decided to Homeschool!
Hey, hey! Omgosh! I have some amazing news! Based on the title, you already know what this blog post is going to be about. It’s true, my husband and I finally decided to homeschool our kids. It’s such an exciting journey (so far) and we haven’t even officially started yet. I’ll go into the reasons later, but right now I am just too excited to keep this announcement in. Our oldest, (Jay) will be 7 soon and will be in the 2nd grade when we start! I have already gotten a few things together for his curriculum and have selected the style of homeschooling that I want to do. I have even designed and printed (and bound) my own homeschool planner! Such an exciting process that I can’t wait to share with you! Don’t worry, I”ll have all the juicy details in future posts!
Please accept my apology!
OK! Before we go further into this post, I would like to express my sincere apologies! It has been a while since I’ve posted, I didn’t realize how much life would change when I had my daughter. There have been changes galore, most of which I wasn’t prepared for, but that’s another story for another post. During my hiatus, I have missed emails, comments, and the chance to connect with many viewers. I am deeply sorry.
Where this blog is headed!
Let’s chat briefly about the plans for this blog. What to expect? What will the Casual Mom be about? What will the scheduling look like?
The Casual Mom has always been a blog to connect with other mommies who feel the same way I do. I have always wanted to be able to share my feelings, experiences, joys, and pains with other mommies in the hopes that mommies with similar feelings as me can relate and feel inspired, encouraged, and strengthened. You can still expect this.
This blog has always been about sharing my journey with the hopes of helping another mommy out. That will not change. I plan to document my homeschool journey (good & bad), mommy experiences, epiphanies & feelings, reviews, and hacks. Slowly, you’ll see changes to the blog & branding to reflect this and to make the site easily navigatable!
As far as posting schedule, I haven’t decided on the frequency of it yet. I hope to blog at least once a week. Ultimately with all my roles as a woman/wife/mother, I want to make sure I start with a schedule I can commit to. It will all be a slow process, but in the end, I believe it will benefit us all!
Thanks so much for being on this journey with me! I can’t wait to create more posts. To stay connected and get more real-time updates hop over to Facebook and/or Instagram! Also, be sure to subscribe!
